Major Project Specialist
John has a broad range of land and development experience having worked at senior level and or as a consultant, for Private Developers, Contractors, Registered Providers, Local Authorities and Government Agencies.
John has a real passion for the delivery of affordable housing and has a thorough understanding of the complexities faced by Registered Providers in the current market, having been responsible for the delivery of the Homes and Communities Agency’s Programmes for The Guinness Trust, one of the Country’s largest Registered Providers.
John has a complete understanding of the land and development sector having set up a new region for The Apollo Group, before joining Millers Consultancy.
John’s public sector and risk management experience has been utilised by The Homes and Communities Agency when he was appointed to act as a consultant to assist them in delivering the Governments finance solution packages, including the Get Britain Building, Large Infra-Structure and The Custom Build Funding Programmes.
John is Miller Consultancy’s lead Director on Public Sector, Regeneration and Affordable Housing work.
James’ experience has been gained by working for some of the UK’s most respected commercial and not-for-profit organisations leading development, sales, acquisition and planning teams at a senior level.
James has the comprehensive experience of taking schemes from land identification through planning and consultation to final build completion.
This has resulted in James developing a wide range of knowledge from a number of varied projects including high profile award winning schemes.
James is very experienced in working on Joint Venture Initiatives and Strategic Land Developments through his work with both Grosvenor (Great Britain & Ireland) & Oxford City Council and with BoKlok (IKEA & Skanska), enabling a unique understanding of how to maximise value from these working arrangements to the benefit of all stakeholders.
James is passionate about design ensuring that placemaking is at the forefront of all considerations. James has worked and studied in Europe bringing this knowledge and desire to every project he works on ensuring our clients unlock the inherent values within.
James is Miller Consultancy’s lead Director for Joint Ventures, Placemaking and Strategic Land.

We hope these actions made because of the COVID-19 virus outbreak ensure we can all get through this safely and maintain our strong partnership in to the future.

The recent report by the National infrastructure Commitee and further support in the Budget will ensure the growth corridor will deliver both new build housing and job creation remaining focussed on supporting the East-West rail line implementation plan.
